International Collaboration on Cancer Reporting (ICCR) members recently participated in a special European Society of Pathology (ESP)/International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC)/ICCR joint session on tumour classification and structured reporting at the European Congress of Pathology (ECP) held in Florence, 7-11 September 2024. The Special joint session was chaired by Professors Dilani Samarawickrema Lokuhetty, Kieran Sheahan and Peter Schirmacher.
Professor Aurel Perren presented on the diagnostic pathologists’ view on classification and structured reporting implementation. Professor John Srigley presented on the codification and secondary uses of cancer pathology data from the pathologists’ perspective. Professor James Kench presented on implementation of structured reporting. Professor Iris Nagtegaal presented on The Netherland’s perspective on implementation of structured reporting. While Dilani Lokuhetty presented on the strategy for the 6th edition of the World Health Organization tumour classification and led the podium discussion on upcoming challenges.
The ECP congress was very successful with excellent scientific content presented from across the globe.
